We would like to thank you for supporting Emmett in this year's competition. Your support enables our company to continue to contribute to Homes for Wounded Warriors and make a difference in the lives of disabled veterans and their families.

What first fueled your passion for fitness?

Growing up I was a really skinny & shy kid. I graduated high school at 120lbs soaking wet with little to no confidence. It was after watching Connan the Barbarian & seeing Arnold, I thought to myself that guy is so strong & confident. My grandmother then insisted that to look like him, I would have to start lifting weights. My personal challenge growing up in a rural area with no access to gyms was limited equipment. So I read magazines, lifted cinder blocks & got to work.

What words or mantra do you live by?

Everyday is an opportunity.

If you win, what will you do with the $20,000?

I will donate it to The Common Cupboard which is a local nonprofit community pantry that helps feed families in need. I volunteer once a month by taking boxes of food to these families and individuals. I know that with this financial gift they would be able to help more people.
